Following the success of our Meatliquor visit, more burgers at Burger & Lobster in Farringdon seamed like a natural place to try next and it didn’t disappoint.
Out with the puled-pork and in with the burgers!
It seams like London’s pulled-pork comedown is being slowly replaced with a burger resurgence, they’re everywhere. But do they have the elegant simplicity of Burger & Lobster? On paper the menu is a foodies dream. The burgers are made from three different of marbled, corn-fed steak from Nebraska and the lobster is flown in fresh from Nova Scotia in Canada. Burger and Lobster also champion ‘simplicity’ which gets the GLC’s vote and whilst I didn’t look at the menu the key choice to make is; burger; lobster of half-and-half.
Burger and/or lobster?
Being a Burger & Lobster first-timer, I opted for the half-and-half, rare and it tasted sublime. There was lots of meat on the lobster and the char grilled cooking just added to the flavor. As for the burger, unlike Meatliquor where the burger explodes with both flavor and contents (adding the pleasure of the experience), this is a more refined experience. The burger is perfectly regimented, tastes more steak-like and holds in place until the last bite.
Burger & Lobster is definitely a more refined burger experience, and I can’t wait to visit again. The only dilemma will be can I handle a burger and lobster as opposed to the half-and-half!

Doesn’t sound very simple to fly the lobsters in from canada 🙂 love a rare burger though!
