As long term GLC readers will know, we have previously enjoyed the company of top Italian chef Antonio Favuzzi, or “Lello” to his friends. Lello is the Head Chef at London’s L’Anima restaurant and he’s an ambassador for the lovely Menabrea beer. So, when we were invited to share some quality face time and a couple of scrumptious Menabrea beers with the man, we jumped at the chance.
As you’ll see in the video, we were keen to get some insider tips on what ingredients are important to Lello, how to make a killer tomato sauce and, of course, how he uses Menabrea beers (aside from drinking them). Lello was a goldmine of culinary information, so if you are planning a special evening out, looking to wow your loved ones by cooking some hyper-sophisticated tomato sauce (grated roe of grey mullet, anyone?), or just want to expand your beer universe, there’s something here for you.
